Residents at a Port Glasgow retirement development are set to celebrate Burns Night in style with a fun filled day of dining, music and quizzes – all with a distinctly Scottish flavour.
Bield’s Crosshill Gardens will welcome tenants, staff, family and friends to enjoy a traditional Scottish buffet.
The haggis will be piped into the lounge before the address to the haggis is given by tenant John MacKenzie.
The celebrations will be kicked off with tasty Scottish treats, a Scottish quiz as well as ‘Sounds of Scotland’ by local entertainer Kenny Wilson. There will also be a raffle, before the day is finished off with a game of bingo.
Michelle McKinnon, Retirement Housing Manager, said: “Burns Night is always a lovely occasion and a great time for a bit of a celebration. We can’t wait to welcome tenants, friends and family to join in a fun filled afternoon.
“Everyone is really looking forward to the night which really highlights the community feeling at Crosshill Gardens.”
“At Bield we strive to make the most of our ‘Free to Be’ philosophy, where we encourage people to live their lives in the way they choose. Ensuring our tenants can celebrate Burns Night is a great example of this.”
