With a promise to shake up the UK market within two years, Hendi UK has burst onto the food service scene with a portfolio of over 4,000 non-food catering products selected for their quality, efficiency and affordability.
With two development chefs on board from day one, a training facility in Lancaster and a new showroom opening in London, the company’s “primary emphasis” on training and advice aims to ensure every customer gets the products that are fit for purpose for their needs.
“There is a well-established status quo in the UK light equipment market and we are here to try and change that by offering UK caterers something different in terms of both quality and service,” says Hendi UK Brand Manager, Antony Ward. “By supplying innovative products and new solutions that are not only closely tuned to their requirements in terms of quality, but are also more efficient, more hygienic and more affordable, we hope to give caterers in the UK a much needed and genuine alternative in the light equipment supply category.”
The new business will be supplying product lines including professional coffee machines, fryers, buffet equipment, electrical and gas appliances, small kitchen appliances, grills, kitchenware, tableware, porcelain and cutlery from Hendi Food Service Equipment, one of Europe’s largest and most successful manufacturers of non-food catering equipment, buffet products, kitchenware and tableware with an annual turnover in excess of £125m per annum. With 9,000sq ft of warehousing already in place and more in the pipeline many of the products will be delivered direct from stock in the UK, via a network of distributors.
