Staff at Vision Commercial Kitchens are taking part in several events during the course of 2019 in order to raise money for the company’s chosen charity of the year – The Christie Charitable Fund.
Team Vision’s fundraising events begin in April when the team will take part in Gung Ho – the world’s biggest inflatable 5K run. The next event on the calendar is Rough Runner in June, where the team will face another 5K run – this time with TV game show inspired obstacles. The final event booked so far is Tough Mudder in September, a further 5K of muddy challenges and obstacles.
These events are just the start, we’re told, and Vision is busy thinking up more fundraising ideas to raise money for The Christie Charitable Fund throughout the year, having already raised over £1,000 in the first week of fundraising.
Vision met with Steph Bryant, Corporate Fundraising Coordinator at The Christie Charitable Fund to discuss more ideas to raise vital funds for the charity. Steph says: “We are absolutely delighted that Vision Commercial Kitchens have chosen to support The Christie over the next 12 months – Team Vision have an exciting calendar of fundraising activities in the pipeline and we are really looking forward to working with them.”
The Christie is the largest single site cancer centre in Europe, treating more than 44,000 patients a year. Based in Manchester, they are leading experts in cancer care, research and education and have been pioneering cancer research breakthroughs for over 100 years.
