This year’s Nutrition and Hydration Week has been hailed as a “resounding success” by the organisers.
“This year the social media reach and interest was once again amazing. On the hashtags for NHWeek and @NHWeek alone the reach was over 8.5 million. Combine that with the other hashtags the reach was more than 10 million,” they said, praising the “huge effort” on the part of care professionals to achieve such a high profile for key nutrition and hydration messages.
The campaign’s social media following has grown to just below 5,000 for Twitter (hashtags included #NHWeek, #NHWeek2019, #NHW19, #NHW2019 and #Nutritionandhydrationweek as well as retweets of @NHWeek) and has nearly reached 1,200 for Facebook, with the latter growing by over 20% in four weeks. Direct mailing stands at over 4,000.
The team behind the Week says that for the 2019-2020 campaign ‘Tip of the Week’ will replace the previous ‘Image of the Week’: “You shared so much information during the week that we thought as everyone was busy with their own activities this would provide us with the opportunity to share these tips from your peers with you all.”
Focus days still to come in 2019 include Thirsty Thursday (13th June), Fruity Friday (20th September) and Tasty Suppers (26th November), while the date for next year’s Nutrition and Hydration Week has been confirmed as 16th-22nd March 2020 – so plenty of time to get your thinking caps on.
