CaterCloud is to host a free webinar to demonstrate the reality of what Natasha’s Law will look like in the workplace.

CaterCloud is to host a free webinar to demonstrate the reality of what Natasha’s Law will look like in the workplace.

The session will be hosted by Rob Henry FIFST ACHIEH, CaterCloud’s resident allergen and nutritional expert, along with Julian Edwards FIH FCSI CFSP, director of allergen accreditation.

Keen to showcase ‘a real kitchen with real caterers’, both Henry and Edwards will appear in a fully functional kitchen in their chef’s whites, and will prepare items that require labels, such as sandwiches, and label them using the CaterCloud system.

They will also be joined by Laura Hariana, brand manager at Jestic Foodservice Solutions, who suffers from allergies and will be talking about the importance of hospitality owners getting this labelling correct.

Henry said: “This will be a fun and informative way to get a serious message across – with actual products and environment scenarios. Well worth a couple of hours of any caterers time!”

Edwards commented: “I’ve been on this PPDS journey since well before March 2019 and contributed to consultations on it. Since 2013 we have been standardising allergen labelling on PPDS and now after a wider hypersensitive consumer consultation, they expressed the need for all ingredients to be listed as people can be allergic to all manner of ingredients, and so we are now entering this new era of transparent information for the safety of customers.”

The event is being held on the 29th July from 10am to 12pm. To register your attendance, click here.

Attendees will also have the option to sign up for a free one-to-one, half hour guidance session with Henry and Edwards.
