Brakes launches new products to support Veganuary
Brakes has also created a Vegan Hub on its website, showcasing a range of new resources, including menu plans and recipes for care homes to add to their menus.

One of the UK’s leading foodservice wholesalers, has launched almost 40 new vegan products, including three into its Simply Plant Based range, as it unveils a new package of activity to help customers make the most of Veganuary.
Brakes new products include Sysco Simply Plant Based Vegballs, Sysco Simply Plant Based Sausage Rolls and Sysco Simply Plant Based Falafel, adding to what is already the largest range of plant-based products in foodservice.
The annual Veganuary event has grown in popularity over the past few years, with 7.8 million Brits planning to adopt a meat-free diet in 2025. In the same way, care homes are finding that more and more new residents are following vegan or vegetarian diets. To support this Brakes has created a Vegan Hub on its website, showcasing a range of new resources, including menu plans and recipes to help operators to identify plant-based solutions to add to their menus.
Paul Nieduszynski, CEO of Sysco GB, says: “Veganuary is a well-established part of the food calendar, and we are delighted to continue to support customers so that they can maximise returns from it.
“We’re also very pleased to be extending our range of Sysco Simply Plant Based products. Our long-held view is that plant-based products must earn their place on the menu because they are the best, not just because they are plant-based. Our NPD is 100%-focused on making that happen. We’re very confident that these latest new products will make a fantastic addition to any menu.”
