Unox backs its sustainability mission with new partnership
The company has joined forces with the third party environmental agency ImpactLoop and will be hosting sustainability workshops designed to drive their joint sustainability mission forward

A leading oven manufacturer is continuing to deliver on its sustainability promises after undertaking TM65 mid-level assessments for one of its most popular commercial combi oven ranges, as well as a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA).
Unox UK is continuing to offer its customers transparency when it comes to sustainability. Now armed with insightful environmental data from its CHEFTOP MIND.Maps PLUS combi oven model, it is sharing the embodied carbon data for their most popular combi oven ranges.
The company has undertaken TM65 mid-level assessments for models within the MIND.Maps PLUS range that details the total amount of carbon emissions produced during the entire lifecycle of a product. This includes the amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) released from the stage of raw materials being extracted from the ground, through to the manufacturing, use and disposal at the end of a product's lifespan.
Further, Unox is maintaining the momentum by joining forces with the third-party environmental agency ImpactLoop, a partnership that was officially launched when the ImpactLoop team visited Unox’s Camberley headquarters to host one of many ongoing sustainability workshops, where the focus is on building a roadmap to drive their joint sustainability mission forward. Unox has invited dealers, kitchen designers, consultants and customers to attend the workshops and join the conversation to ensure a holistic approach to sustainability.
Commenting on the partnership, Unox UK’s Managing Director, Scott Duncan, says: “We are incredibly proud to be one of the first combi oven manufacturers to complete a Life Cycle Assessment. With our ongoing commitment to working directly with ImpactLoop, we look forward to providing more insightful reports to help businesses across every foodservice sector build more data-driven strategies to help them operate more sustainably.
“As a manufacturer we recognise we have a responsibility to provide the foodservice industry with sustainable solutions, as our carbon footprint has a direct impact on operators’ Scope 3 emissions. Our partnership with ImpactLoop has not only been put in place to benefit Unox, but our end-users, dealers, and kitchen designers too. Although we may sit in different stages of the supply chain, we are all connected and must thus work together to create positive change. We intend to do our part by making ourselves accountable and creating the most energy-efficient ovens on the market.”
Radhika Chadwick, CEO at ImpactLoop, adds: “We’re excited to embark on this journey with Unox to drive real progress in product decarbonisation. As a decision intelligence platform, ImpactLoop empowers businesses with AI-driven sustainability insights at asset level that enable smarter, data-backed choices. With our technology, Unox will gain unparalleled visibility into the carbon footprint of its product, powering a more effective decarbonisation strategy and unlocking huge financial savings. Our partnership is about more than just reducing emissions; together, we are driving change within the commercial foodservice industry as we push for a greener, more responsible future.”
Unox has been collating data from its state-of-the-art models to provide a clear picture of the equipment’s energy efficiency and how this can be used by its customers. Customers, dealers, and partners can now view an example of this data at: https://app.impact-loop.com/models/M0000000053-01
