With a ceremony attended by over a thousand guests, including institutional representatives and employees, Unox officially opened Unox City, a 130,000 m² complex in Padua, Italy, which includes production facilities, a logistics hub, an innovation hub and an experience hub and represents a major milestone in the company’s ongoing development.

Over the past 35 years, Unox has built a vertically integrated industrial system rooted in the local territory, a strategic decision that has enabled the company to navigate recent global supply chain crises while still continuing to grow market share.
All manufacturing processes take place within the province of Padua, just a few kilometres from Unox’s headquarters, across a network of highly specialised group companies. From sheet metal processing to the design and production of electronic boards, moulds, and plastic components, as well as the development of detergents and trays, this ecosystem unites research and development with manufacturing, thus ensuring innovation and quality control throughout the whole of thr supply chain.
The Unox City project began more than a decade ago as a vision of industrial expansion and long-term local investment. Chairman and founder Enrico Franzolin explains: “Since the 1990s, when many companies were relocating abroad, we made the choice: to stay and invest in our region, building a local and integrated production system. Unox City is the culmination of a strategy that has enabled us to keep our supply chain in Italy, strengthen a vertically integrated industrial model, and create new opportunities for work and growth for hundreds of people.”

CEO Nicola Michelon adds: “Unox City marks the beginning of a new phase in our internationaliation. Just this week, we launched production at our new U.S. facility, which is part of a key element in a strategy that places Italy at the heart of our global network.”
Unox City is part of a broader industrial plan that includes a total of 12 manufacturing facilities in Italy and, beyond its industrial importance, the project also carries a strong social impact, as the current number of 800 employees is expected to more than double to a total of 1,800.
The initiative has enjoyed the support of local government from the outset, which recognised its significance in terms of employment, infrastructure, and environmental sustainability. Public works tied to the project include a new roundabout, a 450-space public parking area, and new cycling routes.
Mayor of Cadoneghe Marco Schiesaro comments: “The inauguration of Unox City is a historic moment for Cadoneghe. It’s not just a record-breaking industrial investment, but a project that combines innovation, sustainability, and job creation. We’re proud to have collaborated with Unox on this initiative, which will serve as a true engine of growth and well-being for our community.”
