Signature Dining introduces the Great British Pub Local
The specialist food service provider for the UK care sector is launching a new dining concept designed to replicate the spirit of the classic British pub to care homes across the country
Signature Dining, the specialist food service provider for the UK care sector, is launching The Great British Pub Local, a new dining concept designed to bring the warmth, comfort and community spirit of the classic British pub to care homes across the country. It features hearty menus, themed events and immersive experiences, all created to spark memories, encourage social engagement and make mealtimes more meaningful for residents.
The menu includes a full range of classic dishes beloved throughout the generations, from mains such as fish and chips, bangers and mash, steak and ale pie, and toad in the hole, to nostalgic desserts such as bread and butter pudding, spotted dick with custard and black forest gateaux. Lighter bites and favourites like BLTs, club sandwiches and fish finger sandwiches also feature, offering something for every appetite.
'Delivering an experience'
“Pubs have always played a huge role in British life – they’re places where people come together, share stories and enjoy great food,” said Paul Robottom, founder and director of Signature Dining. “With The Great British Pub Local, we’re recreating that sense of comfort, familiarity and togetherness for care home residents. It’s about more than serving pub favourites – it’s about delivering an experience that feels warm, social and deeply personal.”
The concept will be introduced across selected care homes in early 2026, with a full rollout planned throughout the year.
