It’s time! Our Care Home Catering Awards 2023 are here – and we’re after your nominations.
In times of adversity, we often see the best in people. From commitment to residents and dedication to colleagues to a willingness to go above and beyond to keep everyone happy and healthy, we’re sure you’ve seen examples of brilliance in your workplace in the last few years.
Our Care Home Catering Awards 2023 will see five truly worthy winners crowned at our Care Home and Hospital Catering Forum next summer - and the nominations are now open. Whether you work with a talented chef whose creativity in the kitchen is inspiring, a kitchen assistant who is determined to make their team’s life easier or a catering team who set the standard for the sector, please nominate them so they can be in with a chance of winning.
“From chefs who are innovating when it comes to textured diets to teams raising the profile of care catering, we hear about inspiring people in the sector every day,” says Care Home Catering editor Lauren Fitchett. “The growing sense of pride in care catering is palpable and your brilliant work is making sure others know just how talented the sector is. These awards are a chance to celebrate just that, honouring the brightest stars who are not only keeping residents happy and healthy, but changing perceptions about an industry.”
Last year, we were able to crown five winners in an emotional in-person ceremony, for the first time since the pandemic. Adriano Carvalho took home our Above and Beyond Special Award for his efforts during the pandemic to keep his care home running and morale high, while Vicky Holloway and Paul Dunne became our joint Care Chef of the Year winners.

Joanne Ankers was our Group Care Home Caterer of the Year, while the Royal Alfred Seafarers’ Society became our Care Home Catering Team of the Year thanks to their team spirit and collaboration.
