Meet Williams at the Universal Cookery and Food Festival

The event, which has been described as ‘Glastonbury for Chefs’, will take place on 26th September at Loddington Farm, which works to the principles of regenerative farming

One of the UK's leading foodservice equipment manufacturers will be participating at the Universal Cookery and Food Festival this year, an event that has been described as Glastonbury for chefs.

With the festival’s focus on celebrating the best of British food, Williams Refrigeration willl be bringing its Meat Ageing Refrigerator to demonstrate how it has become a key piece of equipment in many of the UK’s best restaurants and most acclaimed butchers, thanks to its ability to help create top quality aged meat.

This is achieved due to its ability to maintain temperature at the ideal range of +1 to +6°C, and humidity between 60-90%, with Himalayan salt blocks used to assist with moisture management as well as improving the flavour of the meat. It’s also flexible, able to operate in ambient conditions up to 43°C with a glass fronted door and bright LED lights making it ideal for front of house use.

Williams staff will be on hand throughout the day to discuss how the MAR works and how the company’s comprehensive range of refrigeration equipment can play a key role in creating a flexible and sustainable kitchen. The Meat Ageing Refrigerator at the show will also feature Williams’ Chameleon vinyl wrapping system which enables equipment to be customised to fit in with a customer’s branding or chosen style, thus  creating a highly individual look.

Now in its 11th year, UCFF is the only UK event for chef’s with a programme designed by chefs. Each year it is held in a different location. The 2024 event will take place on 26th September at Loddington Farm in Kent, a fruit farm owned by the same family for five generations that uses the principles of regenerative farming to improve biodiversity and the sustainability of its crops.

“UCFF is one of the highlights in the UK’s food calendar,” says Malcolm Harling, sales and marketing director for Williams. “We’re looking forward to meeting visitors in this wonderful location and showing how equipment like the Meat Ageing Refrigerator can add extra value to high quality meat.”
