As the 36th home under Country Care, Hermitage House is the care provider’s newest development.

Hermitage House Care Home is Thrapston town’s newest addition and was received by the hundreds on 10 March.

Opened by the Mayor of Thrapston at an open day event, Hermitage House will have a capacity of up to 67 people and will bring 70 new jobs to the town. It consists of a cinema, gym, a salon, aromatherapy, and the Bamboo bar.

On the ground floor, a café will be fronted by a front-of-house team to provide fresh cakes and tea and coffee all day. The catering manager has created a bespoke three-course meal and afternoon for families to enjoy either in the privacy of their own room. A private dining room can also be booked out for special family occasions.

Counsellor Craig Wheeler, the Mayor of Thrapston, who cut the ribbon and officially opened the site, says: “We look forward to Hermitage House becoming an integral part of the community in Thrapston. A facility such as this is long overdue in the town.”

Over the opening weekend, more than 350 people from the town came to visit to look around the new establishment.

“We are very keen to become part of the community here in Thrapston, and we were certainly made to feel very welcome,” says Hermitage House manager, Clare Hedge. “I would personally like to thank everyone who came to see us, and we hope that people will continue visit our residents in future. We want everyone to benefit from the facilities we have to offer here.”
