Hallmark opens a second luxury care home in Eastbourne

Following the opening of Milford Manor in Bath in February, a second Hallmark Luxury Care Home has officially opened in Eastbourne, East Sussex.

Over 150 guests, including the Mayor Councillor Candy Vaughan, were invited to experience Hallmark Willingdon Park Manor, a new £21.6m, 85 bed, residential, dementia and nursing home, which like its predecessor, also offers a café, cinema, therapy room, hair salon and cocktail bar.

Local businesses and care professionals were encouraged to tickle their tastebuds, enjoy demonstrations from some of the home’s 90 new team members and view the facilities which include nine luxurious suites, which form part of a unique retirement living offering called The Residences.

Residents who live at The Residences have access to a premium suite with a kitchenette, and exclusive amenities, such as a celebrations area and terrace, fine dining and concierge services.

Other features at the home include a sensory room to support residents living with dementia, an activities room with a baby grand piano, and a winter and summer terrace which will be used for gardening, bird watching and socialising. These facilities are further complemented by a summer house, gardening club area with raised planters, and a courtyard that supports alfresco dining in the warmer months.

The afternoon event concluded with speeches and musical entertainment from a harpist, and the Download choir.
