A day in the life of Arkall Manor

In advance of it opening to residents, the NACC Executive Board spent 24-hours in the Danforth Care Homes collection’s newest home in Tamworth for a full immersive experience

The National Association of Care Catering (NACC) Executive Board recently visited the new luxury care home, Arkall Manor, for an immersive experience lasting a full 24 hours.

The visit was designed to enable the Board to gain insight into a day in the life of a resident, and included three meals and snacks, wellbeing activities and an overnight stay in the care home.

Max Andrews from Arkall Manor explains: “Our doors will soon be opening to residents and so we were delighted to welcome the NACC Board to our new facility, so that they could see for themselves how we can provide luxury living whilst still maintaining a homely, family environment.”

Based in Tamworth, Arkall Manor, which is the latest care home in the Danforth Care Homes collection, offers spacious en-suite rooms, accessible gardens and tastefully decorated communal spaces. Prior to receiving its CQC clearance, the Arkwell Manor team was keen to demonstrate thefull scope of the  facilities that residents will soon be enjoying.

This created a perfect opportunity for the NACC Executive Board to convene and undertake a full 24-hour familiarity tour, whilst also having the chance to discuss its own agenda.

NACC National Chair, Neel Radia says:“We were keen to see first-hand the wonderful work our members are doing in the community and being able to experience directly what it feels like to be a resident in a care setting provided us with an invaluable opportunity, especially for those of us who are not regularly immersed in a day-to-day care setting.

“The menu and overall experience, including sleeping in the care home, was incredible and I’d like to thank the team at Danforth Care for the warm welcome and hospitality.”
