Brakes Backs British Food Fortnight

The event will include a Food Expo on 25th September near Welwyn, Hertfordshire that will feature 70-plus stands showcasing the best of British Food

One of the UK’s leading foodservice wholesalers announced that it is once again backing British Food Fortnight with a packed programme of activity to highlight the benefits of British produce to its customers.

Headlining the campaign is a Food Expo on 25 September, near Welwyn in Hertfordshire. With more than 70 stands placing the spotlight on the Best of British, the event will showcase British Food Fortnight brunch ideas, as well as chef demonstrations from Fresh Direct, showcasing how to maximise British produce on the menu.

In addition, a British Food Fortnight section on the website will provide recipe and food inspiration from Brakes’ development chefs. It also features menu templates, seasonal calendars and has been updated to include links to all British products by category, so that customers can see, at a glance, the entire range of food on offer.
