Unox UK introduces a new team dedicated to public sector catering

The new team will strive to precisely tailor the individual cooking experiences it provides to suit the specific requirements of public sector caterers

Following its continued business growth, Unox UK has introduced a new team of market development specialists dedicated to the public sector.

The team, which will include UK key account manager Ben Ross and market development specialists Robert Edwards and Jason Eland, will work alongside the active marketing chefs, and will strive to precisely tailor the individual cooking experiences it provides to suit the specific requirements of the public sector.

The service will enable dealers and end users to trial and test Unox’s equipment at their own sites for free, prior to purchase. Focusing on energy efficiency, 24-hour food service, and cooking consistency, the team will be ready to roll out Unox’s Evereo, Multi.Day, and Cheftop-X appliances to demonstrate how they can be used to enhance the food quality and overall kitchen efficiency within public sector catering.

Commenting on the creation of this new dedicated team, Unox UK’s managing director, Scott Duncan, says: “We appreciate that the public sector needs a different approach, which is why this new team will be 100% dedicated and focused on the public sector - with particular emphasis on healthcare and education.

“With their extensive industry experience and particular expertise in this sector, I have full confidence that Ben, Robert, and Jason will provide exceptional service and support to our public sector customers and prospects.”

Key Account Manager Ben Ross adds:This is a really exciting opportunity to demonstrate Unox’s dedication to public sector caterers. As the backbone of so many of the UK’s most vital public services, it’s important that they can access and provide quality and nutritious meals. Using Unox’s equipment, the latest tech in catering AI software, and working with our in-house development chefs, we are looking forward to providing specialist support to this fantastic sector.”

This business growth is part of Unox UK’s wider strategy to ultimately deliver the best customer experience to end users. As a result, it has also expanded its regional team, which supports dealers day-to-day with quotations, technical support, and the option of one-to-one individual cooking consultations. In addition, Unox has also invested in the expansion of the key account team to support a larger group of customers on a day-to-day basis.

As well as manufacturing commercial ovens, the Unox team also prides itself on delivering customised meal plans to each client. Such plans can work with Unox ovens’ advanced software programs, including built-in cooking libraries, to create and provide healthy menus that can be produced en masse and to a diverse demographic. Furthermore, with a range of ovens that feature a built-in mise-en-place program, optional AI accessories, and downloadable HACCP and energy consumption data, the new team will be able to support public sector caterers in creating a more streamlined and energy-efficient kitchen service.
