Bearsden care home appoints new manager

As general manager at Antonine House, part of leading care provider Meallmore, June McIntosh will oversee the home’s manangement and ensure that its residents enjoy fulfilled lives

Antonine House care home, part of leading care provider Meallmore, has announced the appointment of new manager, June McIntosh. 

As general manager, McIntosh will oversee the management for Antonine House and be responsible for ensuring  that residents enjoy fulfilled lives while receiving the highest quality care that is tailored to their individual needs. The 81-bed luxury facility in Bearsden cares for residents with a range of support needs including dementia and palliative care.

McIntosh’s passion for elderly care was established from the outset during her nursing education. She attended Inverclyde Nursing College where she completed a course in General Nursing. Later in her career, whilst working as a staff nurse, McIntosh attended Ayrshire and Arran College of Nursing where she achieved her qualification of Registered Mental Nurse.

With 40 years of experience in the sector, she has become well established in the industry, taking on team-lead and deputy manager positions across Scotland’s care homes. She returns to Antonine House, having previously been deputy care home manager in 2013.

Commenting on her appointment, McIntosh says: “I am very excited to be returning to Antonine House to lead the exceptionally strong team. Our aim is to provide consistent, personalised care in Bearsden, for every person who lives with us. Following my previous experience working at Antonine House with the fantastic team, I cannot imagine working anywhere else.

“I am looking forward to ensuring our wonderful residents are happy and that their loved ones know that they are in safe hands and receiving the highest quality care.”
