Fresh Kitchen gets into a pickle with Brakes
Brakes has added 18 new hand-prepared products from Fresh kitchen to its repertoire, including pickles, sauces and condiments
A company that hand prepares high quality products, including pickles, sauces and condiments, is launching a range of 18 new products into Brakes.
Fresh Kitchen’s range has been designed to help alleviate the pressure on professional kitchens, many of which continue to face challenges around recruiting and retaining skilled chefs. The products are all hand-prepared by highly skilled operators using the same process as a professional kitchen, just on a bigger scale. This means that chefs can enjoy all the quality benefits, without having to spend the time preparing them.
Paul Nieduszynski, CEO of Sysco GB, said: “We felt there was a gap in the market for a range of high-quality sauces and pickles that chefs can serve without needing to spend time creating them. We follow the same process as any chef would, using top quality products from Fresh Direct, creating some wonderfully individual products and flavours.
“Furthermore, the expertise and experience that our operatives have in creating these products day in and day out, means that chefs are guaranteed to receive a great product every time.”
The list of products being launched includes Great Taste award-winning Fresh Kitchen products, such as Pickled Watermelon, an unusual and delicate pickle that combines vibrant red-coloured watermelon with a vinegar pickle that creates both sweet and sharp flavours; Comeback Sauce, a spicy dipping sauce, inspired by Mississippi that is perfect for dipping seafood cocktails, burgers, chicken, and BBQ accompaniments; and Golden Beetroot Piccalilli, an award-winning blend of golden beetroot, sultanas, and a medley of diced vegetables, all enrobed in a thick, sweet yet sharp dressing infused with mustard seeds.
Other eye-catching products in the 18-strong Fresh Kitchen range include Pickled Chilli Pineapple; Pickled Pear; Makhani Curry Sauce and Hot Honey Sauce.
Fresh Kitchen products do not use artificial colours, flavours, or preservatives and are created using the best quality produce from Fresh Direct, which is also sited at the Bicester Food Village.
