Leicester care home welcomes first registered manager

A newly opened luxury care home has welcomed a new manager to lead its team of professional carers.

A newly opened luxury Leicester care home, which offers its catering from two separate kitchens, has welcomed a new manager to lead its team of highly skilled and professional carers.

Watermead Rose, a new state-of-the-art home for up to 80 residents within a luxurious environment where individual wellbeing, safety and happiness are prioritised, has welcomed Aarti Popat as its first registered manager.

The new home sits close to the Watermead Country Park and to keep in with its parkland backdrop, the home is divided into comfortable lodges.

Dietary preferences are managed with two separate kitchens – one of which is exclusively dedicated to the preparation of vegetarian and vegan meals.

Popat joins the home after 25 years in the care industry,  starting off as a care assistant before working up to management and regional operations roles.

“My Mum needed regular hospital care when I was a child so as soon as I was old enough I entered into the working world of care," she says. "I have since worked at very different settings, gaining skills and experience in physical disabilities, learning disabilities and young people services."

Watermead Rose is one of thirteen homes of the Macc Care group, which runs a collection of care homes in the West Midlands.
