Chris Doherty to become acting CEO of Greensleeves Care
Doherty, who currently serves as chief financial officer, will take over from Paul Newman, who is leaving the organisation

A leading not-for-profit care group has announced that a current staff member will will step into the role of acting chief executive in February 2025.
Greensleeves Care has appointed Chris Doherty, who currently serves as the organisation’s chief financial officer, will take over from the current chief executive Paul Newman, who is leaving the organisation after over a decade, to take up a new role as group chief executive of the Summit and We Care groups.
Doherty has been an integral part of Greensleeves Care’s leadership team for more than ten years. As CFO, he has overseen the organisation’s financial growth and stability, and his experience and knowledge of the charity’s operations will ensure a smooth transition.
Commenting on his appointment, Chris says: “I am privileged to have the opportunity to lead Greensleeves Care during this transitional period. I look forward to working closely with our team to maintain our focus on delivering high-quality care and supporting our residents and colleagues.”
The recruitment process for a permanent chief executive is underway and is being led by Green Park Executive Search. Greensleeves Care is committed to appointing a leader who will build on its strong foundation and drive its mission of delivering exceptional care for older people.
