The Scottish Care provider, which has a network of 26 homes, welcomes two new recruits to its board of directors
Leading Scottish care provider Meallmore, which provides a range of residential nursing, dementia and mental health care in a network of 26 homes across Scotland, has appointed Gavin Mason and Martyn Everett to its board of directors in non-executive roles.
Commenting on the two new recruits, Cillian Hennessey, managing director of Meallmore says: "It’s a real pleasure for us to have Gavin and Martyn join our board of directors. Both bring a fresh perspective with a focus on steady growth, efficiency and best practice."
Manson (pictured above) is currently non-executive director of Unbound Group PLC and until June was chairman of Hostmore PLC. His previous experience includes being chief financial and operating officer of Electra Private Equity PLC and holding finance director roles at Thomas Cook Group PLC and Premier Farnell PLC. He has also held senior leadership positions in businesses across a range of sectors over the last 25 years, including clothing, travel and hospitality and brings extensive skills in growth, financing, performance improvement and mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
He says: “Meallmore is a strong, well-run business with a track record of measured growth and a strong sense of purpose and ethics. Whilst the care industry is new to me, it has similar characteristics to many of the businesses that I have enjoyed working with previously, with a real focus on its people and clients."
Everett is a seasoned professional, with extensive experience leading strategic assignments for businesses in the publicly quoted, private equity and public sectors. He is currently non-executive director at Stewart Milne Group, as well as non-executive director and chairman of the Audit Committee at Interserve Group. His previous roles include chairman of Mar City PLC and Redhall Group PLC, and executive chairman of Whitworths Group.
Everett adds: “Meallmore is an impressive, longstanding family business and I look forward to working with this team in my new role to build an even more successful future.”
