Catherine House Care Home in Frome, Somerset recently hosted a circus-themed summer fête, which was designed to bring the local community and the home’s residents and staff together for a fun-filled day.

There was a wide variety of entertainment that included animals from Twinnies Petting Farm, a singing clown and Danny Jukebox, who got everyone dancing and singing to music from different decades. There were also stalls offering henna tattoos, crafts from Arty Farthy, Bella’s Jewellery and Kim Sharp Candles as well as one offering knitted goods.

The Sensory Stall provided engaging experiences, while Amber’s Creations displayed the stunning results of its artistic endeavours. Bath Dogs and Cats Protection highlighted the benefits of animal therapy, and everyone loved the ice cream treats and a flame-throwing show by Jamie Landgridge, one of the home’s carers!

The fête was attended by many members of the local community as well as the home’s residents and their families, all of which helped to make it an truly unforgettable day, while also honouring the Caterine House ethos, which centres around helping residents to continue living their best lives for as long as possible.
